Digital public infrastructures, digital commons and fundamental rights for a democratic society
An event open to any individual, organisation or institution interested in learning about ground-breaking experiences regarding democratic digitalisation, with the spotlight on people’ digital sovereignty. We will talk about digital rights and their violations, and how to apply changes and solutions to avoid them. We will exchange experiences on civil policies and actions. We will generate recommandations for the national and international public authorities and for the civil society.
Languages: Catalan, Spanish and English simultaneously. There will be no streaming.

The Juice Media’s Honest Government Ads
The Juice Media is 98.9% genuine satire, written and created by Giordano in a home studio in the backyard of suburban Melbourne, Australia, on the Wurundjeri lands.
Juice Media’s Honest Government Ads are satirical videos that parody government ads. Produced by The Juice Media, the series began focusing on Australian politics but has since expanded to address global issues. The videos are known for their blunt style, aiming to reveal truths about government operations and decisions that are often hidden by political rhetoric and the media circus.
El Mundo Today
El Mundo Today, directed by Xavi Puig Ripoll and Kike García de la Riva since 2009, is the most influential (humorous) newspaper in Spain. It operates mainly on the Internet, where it can be read completely free of charge, plus its expansion through collaborations in the press, radio, theatre and television.
Domestic Data Streamers and the Skeptic Reader: Your personal bullshit🤌 detector for the Internet
Domestic Data Streamers is a collective that comes from the future and turns data, propaganda, and power into experiences that force you to look head-on at what is unseen. The Skeptic Reader is a tool to dismantle traps, challenge certainties, and not swallow prefabricated narratives.

What happens when the richest person on the planet uses his fortune, his companies, and his own social network to dictate policy, amplify supremacist discourse, encourage massacres and abuse, and on top of that presents himself as the saviour of humanity? Every One Hates Elon turns satire into a tool of resistance against the disproportionate political power of tech billionaires: because when power becomes obscenely large, ridiculing it is not only fun; it is a way to bring it down to human size, banish silence and resignation, and prepare us for action.

Pessimists Archive
In a 4D edition titled Mocking Power, Making Change, we couldn’t miss the chance to invite Pessimists Archive: no one better to prove, with humour and historical evidence, that we have been recycling the same technological panic for centuries. Because perhaps the problem was never technology, but who fears that we might learn to use it.
Whenever a technology capable of distributing knowledge and power appears, a hegemonic technophobic discourse also emerges, announcing the end of the world. It happened with writing, with the printing press, with the telephone, with radio, and naturally, it happens with the Internet and AI. Technophobia is not innocent; it is intentional: the ignorance and conservatism inherent to the human condition and to many opportunists willing to do anything are deliberately fuelled to create the perfect alibi for power to control the tools rather than putting them in people’s hands. Fear is used to justify indiscriminate bans, mass surveillance, and complicity with major technological abuses.

Accent Obert (formerly Fundació .cat until June 2025) is a private non-profit foundation whose mission is to defend our way of being in the digital world. It promotes an open and diverse internet where the Catalan-speaking community has its own voice, supporting initiatives that connect language, technology and society. Our areas of action include: the management of community infrastructure —such as the .cat domain—, the defence of the digital rights of the Catalan-speaking community, the promotion of digital talent in Catalan, and the development of tools that enable full digital life in Catalan.
XNET, Institute for Democratic Digitalisation
Xnet is a network of specialists and activists that proposes advanced solutions in different fields related to democratic digitalisation, digital rights, and updating democracy to the 21st century, such as privacy, the use of data, AI and net neutrality; freedom of expression and information vs fake news, propaganda and disinformation; the defence of whistleblowers, leaks and anti-corruption; technopolitics and advocacy, updating democracy with the political R&D method, transparency and participation; free culture.
